Ideas for sensitivity “score” and predictive metrics/tools#2225

A

It would be useful to have automated sensitivity scores and prodrome and postdrome estimations. The sensitivity score would be similar to the weather/pressure/humidity tracking and be a combined metric with a green/yellow/red tracker.

I think the app measures so much already (eg, triggers, weather, sleep, menstruation that it could start to take into account multiple factors that combine into a weighted “sensitivity” score or likelihood of migraine.

The automated windows idea is to track likely prodrome and postdrome. The windows can be adjusted / respond to user feedback.

I have various suggestions below for factors that can be integrated with the app and contribute to this combined sensitivity score.

Sensitivity score / further tracking suggestions:

  • integration of air quality and pollen count
  • integration of menstrual tracking/hormonal cycle tracking. (If menstruation is a trigger, a sensitivity score / predictive system can flag red/yellow days based on a predicted menstrual cycle that the user can adjust)
  • ability to track other symptoms in the migraine attack window rather than having to add them as separate health events
  • more general medication tracker (not just for migraine but daily medication/supplementation)
  • time worked/hours worked (optional)
  • integration with a calendar app (Google calendar/iCal)

I think the ability to adjust the automated prodrome/postdrome windows and Sensitivity score based on migraine patterns and user input would make it a useful feature.

I envision that the windows for prodrome and postdrome appear in the calendar in a different color from migraine attacks (like blue for pistons postdrome). this allows the prodrome and postdrome periods to be estimated and if the user should go into a migraine during that time, it can be tracked separately.

Other suggestions

  • adding the option to append notes/descriptions to triggers for that particular migraine (sometimes it can be a specific food trigger)
