I constantly have a migraine, so if there could be different screens that say for example, “what pain level is the migraine at? what symptoms are there currently and what intensity are they at?” and so on instead of when the attack started, when it ended, and the pain levels/symptoms for that specific attack. My attacks never end, they just lessen somewhat and worsen.
Agree. A pain intensity now option for ongoing attacks would be helpful.
Also, I had a long run of migraine that spanned end of Dec into Jan but the app didn’t seem to be able to record that as an attack in both months, so I think it messed up my impact report. I ended up having to sit it into two attacks, which wasn’t ideal because the peak of the pain was, in fact on the cusp of the new year
That also could’ve happened because your migraine occurred throughout the transition into the new year, and it possibly can’t register that, but maybe not. I haven’t had the app for very long.
When I first downloaded the app, I just registered the start of the “attack” as the day it had been the worst in the past week because I didn’t think it would let me register a single attack that has been ongoing for a year/year and a half. I also don’t know the exact date my chronic migraines started. Now, I’ve just started registering the start of an attack as when it gets worse, and the end as when it lessens a bit.
It works better that way so I can add more detailed changes in pain levels/symptoms. However, I still have an increased “attack” for typically 10-14 hours before it lessens at all. I’m supposed to have an MRI done soon, and the neurologist wants everything noted down, but it’s hard to do when you can’t have time stamps or add increased/decreased symptoms and pain. I could write it all down either in the notes app or by hand on paper; however, that takes more time when I am busy, and I’d rather not try to do that when my migraines get so bad that I can’t even read or focus on what I’m writing down.
This! I am using the variation feature but it still isn’t quite right for tracking when you’re chronic…
