View and amend menstrual cycle#150

I have the paid for app and always record whether I am menstruating when I record a migraine. However, I can’t find any way of simply viewing my menstrual cycle against my migraines. Instead I have to go into each record to review my cycle. It would be great if there was a button that simple read, view where you are on your cycle, where you could view past and predict likely future migraines.

There used to be a field where I could record my cycle. I turned it off because I had stopped but it has restarted and I can’t figure out how to turn it back on.

Hi everyone 🤗

@Lucy Hegarty when you print your migraine listing report (tap on the side menu of the app, then tap export report) you will see for each of your attack on what specific day of your cycle your attack happened.
Do you use this information mostly for you or for your doctor?
What kind of visualisation would be easier for you?

@Suzzy Davis you could add a new trigger on your trigger screen and call it “perimenopausal period”. Would that be enough for what you intend to do with this information?

To activate back the menstruation field, go to your summary screen (last screen when you record an attack), scroll all the way down, tap on the button called “more parameters” and then turn on the toggle button called “menstruation”

Wishing you all a migraine-free day, with Love 💕

Hi Jenny, thanks for reviewing my suggestion. I use the app for myself and my doctor but knowing more about my menstual cycle wou;d help me a lot. It would be great when looking at the calendar visual for my migraines it could also indicate whether I was also on my period. This would need to be amendable in case the full information had not been recorded with a migraine. That way I would be better able to see if my migraines were linked to my cycle, and particularly in perimenopause whether changes in cycles are having an impact on migraine. Where cycles are regular it would also be useful if it could predict future period days so that I can prepare for potential migraines or arrange plans accordingly.

I would also like a way to track my period in the app, and ideally have it show me the days where my hormones are fluctuating.

I can see % migraines which are pre- menstrual, but this is not defined. I’m guessing it assumes a regular cycle, which mine isn’t, so it’s possibly not accurate. I can manually log as a trigger, but unfortunately this poses its own challenge as I never quite know when this applies until after the fact.

I have had a hysterectomy, however I still I have my ovaries, so I’m still ovulating.
Is there somewhereI’m missing to record this? I can see to turn my period tracking on and off but I’ve left it on and just record no each time when I’m ovulating, which I know this is somewhat right and wrong. I get a migraine every 2 weeks currently which aligns with ovulation (I do record ovulation as a trigger), am I better recording as an ovulation migraine as the attack type? Or could ovulation be added to menstruation area. Plus it would be good to know where I am in my periods, so I know to plan ahead etc

Hi Katy, you can add a note about this in the Health Events section of the app. The period tracker needs to be improved which we will work on in the future.

Hi. I’m using the app since only 2 months. I find it really good and helpful. I would like tho indeed to be able to track my menstrual cicle as well, as my migraine is hormonal based. As of now i can see my menstrual cicle in the health section at Past Events, but whenever i am recording other days is just editing that single one. Also it’s missing from the colored calendar too. It could have a different colour in the calendar and see a list of past events withall the days and for me would be enough. Would be great to be able to use one single app for everything: i’m using Clue in paralel, as it’s the best menstrual tracker ever until now. But i have then to make all the connection myself between Clue and Migraine Buddy..
