Barometric tracking change?#1447

I rely heavily on the barometric tracking feature, and I’ve noticed that recently I have to hit the “Tap to Update” button every time I open the app. It used to be that it would hold my last update until time progressed beyond the range of that single update (and I’d be able to immediately access the graphs to check where I am in the pressure shift). Now I have to update every single time I open the app, even if I just did it a minute or two ago, which not only takes time to complete, but is quite annoying.

Is there a reason for this change, and can it be changed back to only update the pressure forecast when I ask it to?

Good point indeed. You now have to ‘tap to update’ each time you open the app. This is due to the latest Android update. For privacy matters they do not allow anymore to store information so you need to refresh it each time. It doesn’t happen if you do not close the app.
This is not in our hands unfortunately…..
