Easy Mode for Incapacitating Migraines#100

R

I wish there was one large button to tap that would put the app into a Super-Easy Mode for when I can barely move, or when somebody else has to record for me.

I think the most important thing to track is medication to avoid undermedicating or overdosing. When you can barely move or think, this has to be the priority and it has to be very easy.

Easy Mode should have:
-Start/End times
-Medication (and times so I don’t accidently kill myself)
-Notes (with dictation function)

-(Maybe) Pain level - If I’m in Easy Mode, I already know the pain is bad

Personally, I would keep my phone in Easy Mode, and switch out when I feel well enough to add more info.

?

I think also as soon as you press record an attack all colours should be dulled down, or a switch to dull mode

Did you try doing a long click on the app icon android just start a record like that? That’s what I do.

For that we added the “long press” on the app icon.
Just long press the app icon, then choose the type of attack and forget it.

Jenny my last entry was a June migraine in 2022. Why? You had updated to the new app, and it was too complicated for me to use. I stopped using the app to help keep track, and my appointments suffered because I couldn’t keep everything organized. You are my lifeline, but when I get a attack I can’t think straight. I’m trapped inside fighting through molasses to even explain why I’m acting strange. I need the app to record when, where, what, how bad, meds taken, triggers, add the pressure and the recoded button. Then ongoing dictation for changes. With the ability to explain or expand in details-Later. When I am able to function. I never gave up on you. I also want to vote for a dumbed down version for when you initially get the migraine. Hugs*

Not specifically app specific but on my iPhone, I’ve made it “migraine friendly”. Dark mode at all times and night shift on 24/4. These are the two features that personally help me and I am a chronic migraine sufferer (daily migraines, currently trialling Ajovy).
If something like this could be implemented on the app - dull the white text so it’s easier on the eyes and I agree with the above, once you’re having an attack have a button that implements said changes.

I find fiddling with the medication and medication doses difficult so if there was a way to simplify this further, that would be excellent! Noting medication times would also be useful.
I have the Ajovy injection monthly and I would love the feature to also have the duration of the medication as my injections do last a whole month but I know others can last longer as well.

It doesn’t work!

Has the long press feature been disabled? I have an android and just tried this (03/2026) and it doesnt work?? This was the reason i came on to suggest a change as 10 pages of questions when all i want to do is go lie down in a dark room, but i need the tracker active, is just too much - i think the first page after pressing the “go” button should be - do you want to add information now or later - give the option to just have the tracker start without the excessive data required

I don’t believe this has been solved. I would even argue the long press wouldn’t be the best solution (even if it did work).
I’ve tried the long press multiple times in multiple locations and it doesn’t work.
Also, waiting for a long press during a debilitating migraine really sucks. I don’t know about others but time gets wonky during a migraine, especially during a debilitating one, and having to wait to register a long press (or worse, wait for a long press that doesn’t seem to work) isn’t great.
Also since the extra button clicks have been added to ALL the reliefs when I go through, it’s just become so cumbersome to do while I’m mid attack. It wasn’t bad when it was just check off all the applicable options and go, but the extra clicks (and the extra screen changes and bright colors) are a painful experience mid attack. It would be far better to skip those until I mark the attack as over and then ask about them again when I’m not barely functional.
Please revisit this, it’s not working.
